Family promise of Lawton is a community-wide, non-profit corporation dedicated to assisting homeless families to find the stability they need to acquire their own housing, jobs, and financial independence. During the time a family is enrolled in Family Promise, approximately seven area churches provide the temporary housing, evening and morning meals, and related support for up to fourteen people on a weekly basis. Family promise of Lawton is an affiliate of the National Family Promise program headquartered in Summit, New Jersey. Large numbers of volunteers located within the seven churches, and from all over the community form the heart of Family Promise of Lawton, Inc.
